Law Firm Tong has signed a business agreement with Shinol, the operator of SyrupInnyeon, a marriage information platform for middle-aged and older adults, to officially launch a "Personal Advisory Lawyer" service to provide legal advice on common-law marriage from April 1, 2025. Tong lawyers will operate a consultation center for platform members and provide preliminary legal review and preventive advice.
The service includes a free face-to-face consultation once a year and special benefits when drafting contracts and agreements, and focuses on preventing and resolving practical disputes, such as property division due to common-law marriage, inheritance issues, proof of the existence of a domestic partnership, and living expenses claims. Tong lawyers provide comprehensive legal support, including evidence gathering, documentation, negotiation and mediation, and, if necessary, litigation representation.
Through this agreement, Law Firm Tong aims to respect the right to self-determination of middle-aged and elderly people and contribute to their realistic legal security and relationship sustainability, and will continue to provide customized legal services in line with social changes.
